According to my records Thomas married Mary Davis and she bore him 12 children. He seems to have had two sons named James one born 1805 – 1883, the other born 1817-1884. My dilemma is which one is the true son as both seem to be married to the same woman Mary Cramp. Can anyone help?

One response to “Thomas Veness 1781 – 1840”
It refers to James Veness, born 1805, Baptised on 11 March 1806 at Battle, the 4th son of Thomas & Mary nee Davis. He married Mary Cramp on 8 July 1835 at Battle. It’s clear he had 6 children, Thomas being the eldest after his father. Census supports the evidence.
