Hello Sylvia
Yes, 35 Lower Lake is still there. My Mum was born there in 1916 and members of her family lived there until only a few years ago.
What a coincidence! Did your mother live there pre or post 1916?
Best wishes
Caroline
Hi Caroline:
As far I know, my Mum was born there and lived there until about 1914 or 1915. How nice to hear from you with this information.
Cheers,
Sylvia
Hi Sylvia,
Have you posted a Carter-Broadley Family Tree on Ancestry.com.au that starts with Francis Carter?
I (living in Melbourne-Australia) am related via his daughter Elizabeth Carter who married George Newland in Soberton in 1859.
Hi Vaughan:
Sorry, I do not have any of these names on my family tree.
Hi Caroline:
Do you know anyone who could get me a photo of 35 Lower Lake Lane?
I would love to have it as my Mum was born there in 1900.
Thanks for any information.
Sylvia

Hi Sylvia
Thanks for the reply. Most appreciated,

Hi Sylvia,
My Grandparents lived at 36 Lower Lake Battle, not sure when they arrived there, but I certainly remember visiting as a child, must have been about 1946.
My family name was Wood, & there is a connection to Eldridge / Lester / Morgan.
I visited Battle about 12 years ago & took a photo of 36 Lower lake.
