I am tracing the Veness tree for my Nephew and am not sure of dates from Ancestry that people have put on their tree’s. I have a Thomas Veness(b:1779) married to Grace Waghorn and his father was Joseph (b:1732) and married to Mary Fletcher(b:1732)and then Joseph father as Issac Veness(b:1705) and married to Mary Eleanor Russell. It is here I am confused with dates, ie: dob and marriage date. John

I’m a direct descendent of Isaac Venice (1706-1766). My work is supported by my 3rd Great Grandfather, John Veness (1798-1850) of Deptford, London.
He wrote sketchy of the Veness family tree, which can be traced to Isaac Venice (F.3.of Colbyes and Darvill Hill Farms in Brightling). He wrote about the Veness family and mentioned Thomas Veness, one of his Uncles who came to Deptford and how he owned the Powder Mill in Battle. Sussex archives support my evidence work.
