By the way I’ve found William Ticehurst’s baptism dated 26/Sept/1794 at St Mary the Virgin church in Battle, son of William Ticehurst (1760, Dallington) and his wife Sophia. The Ticehurst family can be traced back a few generations in Dallington and Ashburnham. I’m still very interesting in learning something about William’s life as a mariner.
