DESCRIPTION:A community celebration of practical ideas for a greener Battle 🌱\n\nBattle’s Big Green Day is here - and there’s loads happening!\n\nJoin us on Sunday 27 September, 11am–3pm at Battle Memorial Hall for a free community event packed with things to see, do, discover and try.\n\n🍎 Watch live apple pressing - taste the freshly pressed juice or bring a clean bottle with a lid and take some home.\n\n🔬 Discover what’s living beneath your feet - bring a sample of soil or compost from home and take a look at it under the microscope with Soil Craft.\n\n🎬 Watch The People’s Emergency Briefing - with three screenings during the day.\n\n🎤 Drop into one of our short community talks and hear from people sharing their knowledge, ideas and experience.\n\n🌿 Meet local community groups and eco-friendly businesses and discover what’s already happening in and around Battle.\n\n🔎 Keep younger visitors busy with our children’s quiz and discovery trails around the event.\n\n💚 Take the #OneChangeChallenge - what’s one positive change you, your household, school or organisation could make?\n\n🎟️ Try your luck in our raffle, with some fantastic prizes up for grabs.\n\n☕ Stop for Fairtrade refreshments and browse organic and eco-friendly goodies available to buy.\n\nWhether you already know loads about sustainability, want some practical ideas, or are simply wondering what on earth happens when you put your garden soil under a microscope - come and have a look.\n\nNo lectures.
