In 1964 Jack and Ben Newbery were in control of the factory, set up in the High Street. My uncle Herbert, was also working in the factory, when it was taken over by Newtime Foods Limited. Over the next two years, new markets were being developed, and the labels changed; the ‘Newbery’ labels were
discontinued. Also, the Battle site closed, as Newtime moved to Ivy House Lane, Hastings, East Sussex, TN35 4NN.
