Hello,I am emailing from Melbourne Australia. Myself and my siblings are researching our family history and recording it on ancestry.com We have so far reached back as far as the mid. 1600s when our ancestors came from Battle. The family name is Eldridge and include William(1545- 1648), John (1570 – 1666) and others. It’s a long shot, but just wondering if there are any decendants with the Eldridge name still living in Battle.Any information is helpful and appreciated.Regards,Carolyn

Hi,Apologies for the delay in replying I have been away for 6 weeks.Since then the ancestry tree has expanded greatly.This is all on ‘ancestry.com’ and is available for public viewing. My brother has done most of the work on this.The Eldridge line is from our aunty Norma and is now traceable to BC. Ancestors include ‘Old King Cole’ and the first king of Scotland.My brother’s name is Cameron James.When you get a chance, have a look. If you have relatives, or photos, certificates, etc. you can submit them for approval to be added to the tree.Cheers,Carolyn
